Sharon Yvonne Stone, born on March 10, 1958, from Meadville (Pennsylvania) was born to Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, and Joseph William Stone, a tool and die maker. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone started second grade in kindergarten at the age of five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone was moved from Pennsylvania to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt in order to explore a career as an actress. In less than a month she was signed with Ford Modeling Agency. Then, she moved to Europe, spending a year in Milan and Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with modeling and fashion within Europe and decided to pursue acting while living there. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success when she was 20.
