Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actress and singer. She is a Michigan native who was born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talent for entertainment was discovered at a very young age. In 1992, Kristen attended her first audition. She was given the role of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell aged 13 when her mother signed to become an agent was cast on ads on newspapers and TV. In the same year, she also began training in private acting. Bell was a character who did not have a credit of Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and the drama club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she won the part of Dorothy. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre upon graduating. Bell quit university in 2001, and began taking on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the film cut her character from the film, and she only appears as a credit. Bell appeared in Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
