AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is an attacking player. She also serves as captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division for professional women's soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was co-captained America's women's national soccer squad along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][9The 9 Morgan was chosen as the top pick in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional there , and was a key player in helping the team win the league championship. Morgan 22, then 22 years aged, was the smallest national player to play at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 and finished second. In the 2012 London Olympics Morgan scored the match-winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada. Her 2012 ended with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. It made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was an FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan helped to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was also selected to the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
